In the fall of 2007, seven students gathered at the Khartoum American School (KAS) in Khartoum, Sudan to learn about the art and craft of journalism. This page includes much of their work from the semester, from their months-long investigative reporting projects around Khartoum to profiles of KAS teachers. Enjoy!

Reporting KAS     Students tackle journalistic projects related to their school: profiles of teachers, investigations into school flora and fauna, and a profile of the mysterious workings of the maintenance department.

About Town     Students take their reporting skills outside KAS' walls and assemble a mosaic of life in this North African city, from the inner workings of local businesses and NGOs to reviews of local coffee shops and neighborhoods.
